HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

How far ahead do I need to order?

All treats are baked to order and additional cakes are not in freezer to cater for last minute orders. Please place your order at least 4 weeks prior to avoid disappointment.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required (via bank transfer) to confirm your booking.

The balance of payment is due (via bank transfer) two weeks prior to delivery. Orders will not be completed unless paid in full by the due date.

how do i pay?

You can pay via bank transfer. Once you place an order, you will receive the bank account details for payment. Please note booking is not confirmed until a 50% non-refundable deposit has been paid.

I need to cancel my order. Can I get a full refund?

All requests to cancel an order must be made in writing.

Orders cancelled outside 7 days will result in forfeit of deposit (i.e 50% of total amount)

No refund is applicable within 7 days of delivery date.

Post pick up/ delivery, all requests for refunds must be made in writing and within 24 hours of cake being picked up/delivered.

Delights to Devour reserves the right to provide full or partial refund if the items picked up/delivered was not as per details on the invoice. Refunds requested due to quality of flavour will only be determined at our discretion and based on the returned cake. The cake will need to be returned to our premises within 24 hours to assess the product. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a refund on a cake that has been consumed.

Please note creative freedom is required when decorating cakes, cupcakes, cookies. If you have provided a reference picture at the time of booking, Delights to Devour cannot guarantee that products will look exactly the same as colours can differ due to screen resolution, and decorating styles.

I need to POSTPONE THE EVENT. CAN I CHANGE THE DELIVERY DATE?

Any request for change to delivery date must be made in writing and at least 2 weeks outside the original delivery date.

We understand that your circumstances may change and you may need to change the date of your event. We will try my best to accommodate any date changes. If we are fully booked for the new date, you can either choose another date or can cancel the order. Please note that the above cancellation fees will still apply.

I want to change the design / flavour of my order.

Changes to design/ flavour are only permitted outside 2 weeks of delivery date. However, if special toppers, flowers have already been procured or made for the order, no changes will be permitted. A change of design/flavour will require a re-quote.

I NEED TO CANCEL/POSTPONE MY EVENT DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS?

We completely understand if you wish to postpone/cancel orders due to cancelling of events/gatherings as a result of Covid restrictions that may come into effect from time to time.

Postponement

I am happy to move your booking to another available date in the future. An order can be postponed due to COVID if requested outside 24 hours of original delivery/pick up date. I will make every effort to accommodate your new date as long as sufficient notice has been provided.

Cancellations

If you wish to obtain a refund due to COVID, a cancellation fee will still apply as per below to cover the cost of work completed/items purchased. The balance will be refunded to your nominated account -

  • Outside 7 days of delivery date/time- 20% cancellation fee

  • Between 6 days to 24 hours of delivery date/time - 50% cancellation fee.

For cancellations within 24 hour of delivery, no refund is applicable. The order must be picked.

Where are you located?

Delights to Devour operates out of a home kitchen in Berwick, South East of Melbourne, Victoria. As this is not a shop front, an appointment is required should you wish to come and have a chat with me about your event.

Do you deliver?

Deliveries can be requested but must be pre-arranged at the time of placing an order. It will be offered depending on availability. Delivery is currently available for orders of $100 or more, and is charged at $1 per km. Distance is calculated based on shortest return trip from the studio in Berwick to delivery address and back. If use of toll way is required, it will be added onto the quote.

Quotes are available for deliveries to multiple locations. Please check for charges before placing an order.

Do you offer gluten free, EGG LESS and vegan options?

Please check our menu for eggless cake options. Some of these can be adjusted to suit vegan dietary preferences. At this stage we do not offer gluten free range. Please check before ordering. Please note that nuts, eggs , soy, dairy and gluten are used in Delights to Devour kitchen. We would not recommend our products to anyone with severe food allergies.

IS YOUR KITCHEN ALLERGEN FREE?

No, our kitchen uses nuts, soy, gluten, dairy and eggs for baking and decorating. We would not recommend our products to anyone with severe food allergies. Please check with us before placing an order.

IS YOUR KITCHEN registered?

Yes, Delights to Devour is a home based business, and is registered with the City of Casey, and has the required insurances in place.

Do you make cakes with fresh cream?

At this stage, fresh cream or cheese filling is not offered as part of our menu.
